Trey Wilson is the founder and principal attorney of R L Wilson, P.C. Law Firm. He is San Antonio native and graduate of Central Catholic High School. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas.
As the son of a career U.S. Army soldier, Wilson grew-up with a sense of discipline, duty and accountability that permeates the firm’s work ethic today. Though he chose the lure of UT over that of the uniform, Wilson is a staunch patriot, and shares his family legacy of safeguarding personal rights and private property.
While living in Austin, Wilson worked for the Texas House of Representatives and served as a legislative assistant to State Representative Ruth Jones-McClendon in her freshman session. This experience expanded Wilson’s horizon and provided a unique opportunity to observe the importance of diversity in Texas. His legislative service and law school graduation were recognized by the Texas House through the adoption of H.R. 905 on May 13, 1997.
Wilson was admitted to practice before all Texas Courts in November 1997 and the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Texas in July 1998. Beginning his law practice at a mid-sized law firm, he primarily represented plaintiffs before the State and Federal Courts where he tried lawsuits against both insurance carriers and corporate giants. As the firm’s Social Security associate, Wilson also handled hundreds of administrative law cases and gained an intimate familiarity with navigating the web of government bureaucracy.
Since that time, Wilson’s practice has broadened substantially and his well-earned reputation for providing the finest full-service representation to utilities, real estate developers, small businesses, associations and aggrieved individuals is strong. Wilson routinely prosecutes and defends a diverse selection of cases throughout the State of Texas and before administrative agencies. At last count, he had handled client matters in more than 40 Texas Counties, and in Maricopa County, Arizona. Wilson is also a licensed as a salesperson by the Texas Real Estate Commission. He specializes in marketing and locating premier hunting, live water and recreational ranches. To learn more about Mr. Wilson’s real estate practice, visit www.TexasRanchesforSale.com

Wilson is a member of various professional groups and associations including the State Bar of Texas, San Antonio Bar Association, SABA Natural Resources Section, SABA Litigation Section, SABA Real Estate Section, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Texas Water Conservation Association. He is also a proud member of the Texas Longhorn Foundation and San Antonio Texas Exes.
As a 4th generation Texan (on both sides), Wilson maintains a voracious appetite for Texas history, Mexican food and Longhorn football. He is a proud Christian, avid reader, lover of Texas’ ranching heritage, trophy hunter / fisherman, barbeque master and beef jerky connoisseur. He is the father of two children and two incorrigible Labrador retrievers.
